Keycap sound and feel can be very personal, and what you’re describing mostly comes down to the material and finish. PBT keycaps tend to have a more textured, matte feel, while smoother alternatives can feel more “slick” or soft to the touch. So if these feel too hard or rough for you, that can be due to material/composition.

In any case, it might be worth looking into third-party keycaps that better match the feel you’re after. As long as they use MX-compatible stems, they should work just fine.
